Job summary

METALWOOD ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced BIM/Facade Designer to prepare and manage design drawings using BIM, Rhino, Grasshopper, and CAD, ensuring model compatibility and accessible BIM data for project delivery.

You will coordinate architectural and structural interfaces with main contractors, verify drawings meet specs, manage design changes, attend site meetings, and support project objectives while collaborating with design teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in architecture, civil or structural engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in construction and architectural projects, facade/roofing ideal.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of DGN, DWF, IFC and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong project management and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Fluent English and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Prepare, manage, and facilitate design drawings using BIM, Rhino, Grasshopper, and CAD technologies to support project delivery.
• Ensure all models are compatible and BIM data is accessible to all project participants for seamless collaboration.
• Coordinate architectural and structural interfaces by collaborating with main contractors and other trades to ensure effective cross-team support.
• Collaborate closely with the design team and relevant departments to verify all drawings meet design specifications.
• Manage design changes and revisions by resolving discrepancies and addressing queries between design and project teams.
• Attend site meetings as required to provide design input and support project progress.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support project objectives and team requirements.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction and architectural projects, preferably in Façade/Roofing Trade.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of DGN, DWF, IFC, and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong project management and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
