Job summary

Metalwood Engineering in Singapore seeks a BIM/Design Coordinator to support project delivery with advanced CAD/BIM tools. You will prepare and manage drawings using Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and AutoCAD, ensuring model compatibility and accessible BIM data for all participants.

You will coordinate interfaces with main contractors, verify design drawings meet specifications, and manage design changes while collaborating with the design team and site on project progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction and architectural projects, preferably facade/roofing.
• Proficiency in BIM and CAD tools including Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of DGN/DWF/IFC and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong project management and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently and within a team; fluent in English.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and facilitate design drawings using BIM, Rhino, Grasshopper, and CAD technologies to support project delivery.
• Ensure all models are compatible and BIM data is accessible to all project participants for seamless collaboration.
• Coordinate architectural and structural interfaces by collaborating with main contractors and other trades to ensure effective cross-team support.
• Collaborate closely with the design team and relevant departments to verify all drawings meet design specifications.
• Manage design changes and revisions by resolving discrepancies and addressing queries between design and project teams.
• Attend site meetings as required to provide design input and support project progress.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support project objectives and team requirements.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in construction and architectural projects, preferably in Façade/Roofing Trade.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of DGN, DWF, IFC, and MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong project management and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
• Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills.
