Job summary

Senior Architectural Coordinator

To oversee and coordinate architectural works across construction projects. The role will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to ensure architectural works are properly coordinated, submitted, executed and completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Coordination

• Coordinate architectural works, drawings, details, samples and material submissions.
• Review architectural drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes and constructability issues.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, M&E and other trades.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and follow up on architectural submissions, approvals and technical clarifications.

Site & Project Coordination

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor architectural works and workmanship.
• Coordinate site activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress and highlight potential delays, design issues or site constraints.
• Attend technical, coordination and site meetings and follow up on action items.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, QS and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure architectural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements and project quality standards.
• Inspect completed works and coordinate rectification of defects and outstanding items.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining inspection records, material submissions and relevant project documentation.
• Support testing, inspection, handover and close-out activities.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical guidance and support to Architectural Coordinators and site personnel.
• Coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Escalate critical technical and coordination issues to the Project Manager for timely resolution.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architectural coordination within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in building construction and architectural works.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, materials and construction details.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
