Job summary

SECURITAS ELECTRONIC SECURITY SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a security and systems engineer to assist project teams in designing security and communication systems using input from shop drawings, tenders, and customer requirements.

You will lead demos and proof-of-concept activities and participate in the implementation of special projects. The role involves developing technical documentation, training commissioning staff, and ensuring standardized installation methods across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in an engineering field related to electronics and security.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in electronics security and communication.
• Good presentation and communication skills with ability to discuss with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• To facilitate the teams to resolve both operational issues and technical difficulties.
• Work closely with project teams to support and meet project timelines.
• Analysis of equipment failures to determine cause and resolve/recommend corrective action.
• Attend project meetings related to application requested by customers.
• Develop technical documentation and train service commissioning/site engineers.
• Prepare and design security and communication systems, with input data from shop drawings, tender specifications, customer requirements and intended applications with a view to optimizing designs.
• Support the projects team with the preparation of detailed schematic drawings and block diagrams.
• Work closely with the projects teams to standardize methods of installation and processes for each system (from IP addressing, to devices' naming convention, equipment termination details, rack layouts, etc.)
• Maintain and continuously update the central 'library' of the collated data for ease of reference by all.
• Build and maintain good internal database of typical system designs for all systems, including cabling requirements.
• Assist in preparation of presentation materials and other supporting materials for projects.
• Support presentations and product/ system demonstrations to clients and consultants.
• Attain and maintain technical proficiency in special products and applications.
• Play an active role in special projects in areas of applications and configuration; participate in system commissioning where required
• Support acoustic design simulations for public address and sound system applications.
• Multitask effectively, to support projects, and commissioning teams in areas of engineering design detailing and verification, documentation, process control, special application testing and commissioning works.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Computer Engineering or IT Engineering or its equivalent.
• With more than 3 years' relevant experience in electronics security and communication field.
• Organized, systematic and structured personnel preferred.
• Strong customer focus, team player, independent and result orientated.
• Good presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Energetic and high level of work commitment with a positive mindset.
• Demonstrate abilities to work in a fast-paced environment and able to work in cross functional teams.
