Job summary

CERTIS TECHNOLOGY (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineer to manage security system projects including CCTV, intrusion detection, access control and intercom systems.

You will lead installation, testing and commissioning per customer requirements, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule. You will attend site meetings, liaise with architects, consultants and contractors, procure materials and train customers on system operation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, IT Computer Science / networking related or related fields.
• 2 years of working experience in related security systems or projects.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned security system projects (CCTV, IDS, access control, audio/video intercom).
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning within budget and schedule.
• Attend site meetings to monitor project status.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, main contractors and designers on progress and compliance.
• Procure materials and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Provide customer training on installed systems.
• Ensure subcontractors perform per approved drawings and instructions.
• Update shop drawings, floor plans and single line diagrams before handover.
• Respond to customer feedback and take corrective actions.
• Provide progress updates and report technical issues to stakeholders.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of assigned projects in security systems such as CCTV Surveillance System, Intrusion Detection System, Electronics Access Control System, Audio/Video Intercom System, etc.
• Responsible for the implementation of installation, testing and commissioning of the security systems as per customer requirements within budget and delivery schedule commitments.
• Attend site meetings to monitor status of projects.
• To liaise with Architects, Consultants, Main Contractors, Interior Designers, etc to provide accurate feedback on the progress of works, technical compliance to specifications and variation claims.
• Procurement of materials and delivery to site in a timely manner in accordance to site progress and within project’s budget.
• Conduct detailed training to customers on the operational use of the installed, security systems.
• Ensure subcontractors on-site perform the work in accordance with the approved drawings and instructions as appropriate.
• Ensure shop drawings, floor plan drawings and single line diagrams are correctly updated for each project before handing over to Maintenance Department.
• Respond to and manage customer feedback/complaints and take corrective/preventive action.
• Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on progress reports, forecasts, technical problems encountered, etc.

Experiences & Skills

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, IT Computer Science / networking related or related fields with 2 years of working experience
• Excellent project and people management skills.
• Hands-on project execution and management experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good working knowledge on IP data networks
