Job summary

Securitas Electronic Security Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced engineer to provide expert-level technical design and support to the sales team, including guidance, system specification, presentations, and design and engineering support.

You will coordinate with vendors, run demos and proofs of concept, verify tender requirements, and collaborate with the Application team to standardize designs for smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering or IT diploma/degree required.
• 3–5 years experience in security/communication systems, networking, IT, cybersecurity, and audio engineering.
• Self-driven with minimal instructions; able to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and structured approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team during quotation and tender preparation, verifying tender and design specifications and detailing bills of quantities.
• Coordinate with specialist vendors for design verification, demos, POC testing, and system integration interplays.
• Evaluate products and systems and introduce them to the sales and projects teams.
• Work with the Application team to standardize design and applications for easier project implementation; assist when required.
• Set up and conduct demos independently for visitors.

Job description

This position provides expert-level technical design and support to the sales team, including technical guidance, system specification development, system presentations, and design and engineering support.

The Job

• Supporting the sales team during quotation and tender preparation, including verifying tender and design specifications, detailing bills of quantities, detailed system design and solutioning, and other submission requirements.
• Work scope includes liaison and co-ordination with specialist vendors for system design verification, carrying out demos, and ‘proof of concept’ system testing; as well as system integration and interfacing possibilities.
• Evaluating products and systems, and introducing/recommending them to the sales and projects team, is part of his responsibility.
• Work with the Application team to standardize design and applications for easier project implementation; support the Application team when required.
• Expected to be conversant with the demo set-up and equipment, and to conduct demos independently to the visitors.
• Must multi-task effectively to support sales and project sales in areas of engineering design, detailing, and verification.
• Support security and communications-related project implementation, particularly in detailed design.

Job Requirements

• With at least an engineering or IT diploma or degree and at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
• Expected to be conversant in both security and communication systems, as well as network designs, and have a good understanding of IT, cybersecurity, and audio engineering know-how.
• Self-driven and able to work with minimal instructions.
• Organized, systematic, and structured.
• Energetic, with a high level of work commitment and a positive mindset.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and is able to work in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask effectively, supporting various roles and functions.
