Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in Singapore invites an Application Developer to join Learning Technology & Services. You will deliver innovative, secure software solutions for the student learning experience, supporting digital transformation and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include developing eLearning applications, LMS integrations, APIs, and AI-powered tools, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality, security, and compliance in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Interested in full stack development with SDLC experience.
• Ability to design and deliver user-centric digital products.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy digital solutions including eLearning apps, LMS integrations, web and mobile apps.
• Develop AI-powered applications, intelligent assistants, and automation solutions.
• Integrate systems via RESTful APIs, LTI standards, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure secure, reliable, production-ready software with secure coding and vulnerability testing.
• Support CI/CD, DevOps practices, and data governance compliance.
• Research emerging technologies like GenAI and large language models for EdTech.

What You Will Be Doing

To deliver innovative, secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions that enhance the student learning experience, support digital transformation initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making. The role explores and implements emerging technologies—including Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, intelligent automation, and learning analytics to support future educational and operational needs. The incumbent also contributes to departmental well-being by supporting and organising cluster-level initiatives and events.

• Software Development and Systems Integration
• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of digital solutions, including:eLearning applications, LMS integrations, web applications, cloud solutions, and mobile applications.
• AI-powered applications, intelligent assistants, and automation solutions.
• System integrations via RESTful APIs, LTI standards, and cloud platforms.
• Quality, Security and DevOps
• Ensure that software solutions are secure, reliable, and production-ready.
• Apply secure coding practices, conduct code reviews, and support vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and compliance with data governance policies.
• Emerging Technology and AI Innovation
• Research and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Explore GenAI, large language models, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Develop AI-driven learning experiences, virtual assistants, and recommendation engines.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and EdTech trend monitoring.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Consultation
• Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver and sustain solutions.
• Gather requirements, support project delivery, and manage vendor engagements.
• Provide technical consultation, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Departmental Contributions
• Support cluster-level initiatives, events, and community-building activities that contribute to departmental well-being.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in full stack software development.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering user-centric digital products.
• Experience working across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems and APIs.
