Job summary

APAR TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive IT operations specialist to provide 24x7 production support on a rotation. You will monitor batch jobs, manage incidents, and coordinate recovery with cross-functional teams to maintain system health and availability.

The role involves creating management reports, supporting automation initiatives, and sharing knowledge with new team members. Prior exposure to banking or financial services is advantageous, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or related field required.
• Experience in application support is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Linux/Solaris/AIX is an advantage.
• Banking/financial services knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 production and IT operational support on rotation.
• Monitor and recover batch jobs and perform system health checks.
• Manage incidents, escalations and recovery coordination.
• Coordinate with relevant teams during critical issues.
• Maintain incident records and event logs.
• Review daily activities and ensure proper shift handovers.
• Coordinate disaster recovery testing activities.
• Prepare and analyse management reports.
• Support automation and SRE improvements.
• Conduct post-resolution follow-ups with teams.
• Conduct post-event reviews with platform teams.

• Coordinate with relevant teams during critical application issues.
• Maintain accurate incident records and chronological event logs.
• Review daily activities and ensure proper shift handovers.
• Coordinate disaster recovery testing activities.
• Prepare and analyse management reports.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives using SRE principles.
• Conduct post-resolution follow-ups with application support teams.
• Conduct post-event problem reviews with platform support teams.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to new team members.
• Ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders during application incidents.

Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology or a relevant field.
• Candidates without relevant working experience are welcome to apply; training will be provided.
• Prior application support experience is an advantage.
• Banking or financial services domain knowledge is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Linux, Solaris or AIX is an advantage.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Knowledge of shell scripting and job scheduling.
