Job summary

Virtu Financial in Singapore seeks a Trading Operations Specialist to support client bookings and reporting for equities trading across the Asia Pacific region. You will help with trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation, coordinating with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and customers to ensure timely settlement and accurate books.

The role offers exposure to automation projects with software engineers, a demanding but rewarding environment, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years’ work experience in finance back office functions (experience with Australia market will be a huge plus)
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate systems and diagnose issues
• Willingness to work early shift hours (Sydney timezone)
• Familiar with MS Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge with SQL and Python will be an advantage
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to work under pressure
• Attention to detail and a customer service attitude

Responsibilities

• Support client bookings and reporting for equities trading across APAC
• Manage clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades and positions
• Collaborate with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and customers
• Assist in automating and enhancing operations workflows with software engineers
• Represent the firm when dealing with external parties under pressure
