Job summary

Virtu Financial seeks a Trading Operations Specialist to support client bookings and reporting for equities trading across the Asia Pacific region. The role covers clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades and positions for firm clients, with collaboration across traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and customers to ensure timely settlement and accurate books.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years' work experience in finance back office functions (experience with Australia market will be a huge plus).
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate systems and diagnose issues.
• Willingness to work early shift hours (Sydney timezone).
• Familiar with MS Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge with SQL and Python will be an advantage.
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support client bookings and reporting for equities trading across the Asia Pacific region.
• Manage the clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades and positions for firm clients.
• Collaborate with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and customers to ensure timely settlement and accurate records.
• Help automate and strengthen operations workflows with software engineers.
• Represent the firm when dealing with external parties, even under pressure.
