Job summary

Allianz Commercial seeks a Regional Head of Underwriting, APAC, based in Singapore. You will lead the regional underwriting strategy, oversee portfolio performance, and drive compliance in a complex, global environment.

Reporting to the President, Commercial, APAC, you will manage cross‑LoB initiatives, strengthen broker relationships, and guide product development while ensuring ethical AI practices and innovation across the region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of underwriting management experience.
• Strong broker relationships and local market presence.
• Master's degree in Economics, Law, or related field; CII qualification preferred.
• Ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated on AI tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional underwriting strategy aligned with global AZC goals.
• Identify market opportunities to grow the APAC business.
• Lead cross‑LoB strategies with regional leaders to foster innovation.
• Manage portfolio to meet financial and loss ratio targets.
• Drive planning, monitor progress and optimize the underwriting lifecycle.
• Maintain underwriting consistency and compliance with standards.
