Job summary

Hilton seeks a Director, Sustainability & Responsible Business for APAC to drive Travel with Purpose initiatives, partner with regional teams, and elevate sustainability performance across hotels in the region.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Global Sustainability & Responsible Business, and requires 8+ years of experience with at least 3 years in a relevant field. Travel up to 10% and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in sustainability and hospitality industry.
• Motivated self-starter to represent global team independently in APAC.
• Outstanding project management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Outstanding written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence engaging senior leaders, including SVPs and VPs.
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills and ability to build trust, advise, and support others.
• Willingness to work across time zones, including meetings in early mornings or late evenings for US time zones.
• 8+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in a relevant role such as sustainability, hospitality, or business strategy consulting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and travel readiness (about 10%).

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in APAC to meet Hilton’s Travel with Purpose 2030 Goals (energy, carbon, water, waste).
• Drive, implement, and track programs to progress toward TWP 2030 Goals.
• Collaborate with Communications, Operations, Engineering, Brands, F&B, Procurement, HR, and others to embed sustainability in strategy.
• Advise hotels on achieving energy, carbon, water, and waste reduction targets.
• Conduct data analysis to assess sustainability performance and report to leadership and external channels.
• Support APAC Travel with Purpose Champions and activate hotel-level champions.
• Present Travel with Purpose updates to internal and external audiences.
• Regionalize global programs for APAC and contribute to content with other regional leads.
• Contribute to Hilton communications and annual Travel with Purpose reporting and awards.
• Lead volunteerism initiatives and Travel with Purpose presence at conferences and events.
• Represent Hilton in industry groups and external speaking engagements.
• Stay abreast of sustainability trends and best practices in hospitality.
