Lloyd’s List is seeking a Deputy Editor/Analyst for APAC based in Singapore. The role blends editorial leadership with data-led insight across Asia, reporting to the APAC Editor.

You will guide daily analysis, manage a local team, and present at events while ensuring high editorial standards. Based in Singapore, this hybrid role balances home and office work, contributing to Lloyd’s List’s global editorial ambitions and industry engagement.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in senior level reporting or similar maritime roles.
• Knowledge of shipping industry and geopolitical impacts on global trade.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
• High proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Team player who collaborates across the organisation and engages with C-suite executives.
• Advanced communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning and creation of daily insight, analysis and content formats.
• Speak authoritatively at Lloyd’s List events and client briefings as presenter or moderator.
• Create original data-led content for maritime sector coverage in Asia.
• Guide and develop a local editorial team.
• Utilise data and visualization tools to communicate findings.
• Deputise for the APAC Editor and make editorial decisions when required.
• Collaborate with other departments to support commercial success.
• Support editorial calendar events and industry conferences.
• Build relationships with industry stakeholders.
