Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the Asia Pacific DSM Compliance team within Europe-APAC exJapan, directing risk-based guidance for distribution, sales and marketing across the region and globally. Based in Singapore, the role partners with Legal, Risk & Compliance to strengthen the control framework.

The successful candidate will oversee AML and financial crime compliance, client due diligence, sanctions, and regulatory changes, while coaching teams across multiple

Qualifications

• University degree required; regulatory/ Compliance qualifications are an advantage.
• 10+ years of relevant compliance experience in financial services (asset management, funds, banking, or advisory).
• Demonstrated leadership and people management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience providing compliance oversight for distribution, sales, marketing and cross-border activities.
• Fluent in English; additional APAC language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Asia Pacific DSM Compliance team under EA DSM Compliance Manager direction.
• Advise Marketing, Sales leadership on risk-based compliance guidance across distribution and cross-border activities.
• Review and approve marketing materials, DDQs, RFIs, RFPs and promotional content per regulations.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, guidance, processes and controls for EA sales/marketing; monitor regulatory developments.
• Provide AML/financial crime oversight, client due diligence, sanctions screening, escalations and monitoring; collaborate with MLRO.
