Job summary

Mizuho Bank is seeking experienced compliance professionals to join its regional compliance team to manage APAC compliance risk from Singapore. The role oversees monitoring and advisory across APAC offices, driving consistent standards and strengthening the compliance culture and control environment.

Based in Singapore, you will collaborate with local teams and global stakeholders to ensure effective governance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in compliance or controls within financial services.
• Design and implementation of compliance programmes.
• Good understanding of banking products, services and processes.
• Strong governance and technical compliance expertise.
• Motivated team player.
• Analytical, communication and people skills with cross-cultural collaboration.
• Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Subject matter expert with ability to handle complex issues hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Monitor effectiveness of general compliance controls and governance across APAC offices.
• Promote consistent regional/global compliance policies, standards and procedures.
• Review periodic compliance reporting from APAC offices and escalate material issues.
• Support APAC offices in implementing strategic, operational, regulatory and transformation projects.
• Provide general compliance training to APAC offices as required.
• Develop and maintain regional compliance guidance, procedures, standards and toolkits.
• Coordinate with local Compliance teams on requirements for tech, operational, HR projects.
• Provide on-site support in APAC offices as required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions and APAC offices.
