Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Recruiter to build critical APAC teams, focusing on technical business roles within B2B and go-to-market functions. You’ll serve as a strategic talent partner, shape hiring strategies with senior stakeholders, and deliver outcomes across global markets.

You’ll report to the APAC Recruiting Lead and collaborate with global recruiting, People, and business leadership to scale the organization with high hiring standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in-house at high-growth or high-bar environments.
• Proven track record of hiring for business functions (e.g. Sales, Technical Success, RevOps, Partnerships, User Ops), preferably on Technical roles.
• Strong talent judgment to assess both experience and potential and raise the bar.
• Comfortable acting as a strategic partner, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguity.
• Highly execution-oriented with the ability to run multiple complex searches simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring for APAC roles, from scoping and calibration through to offer and close.
• Partner with senior business leaders to understand team needs, define hiring strategies, and translate priorities into talent plans.
• Build and execute proactive, data-informed sourcing strategies to attract high-calibre and diverse talent across markets.
• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, driving alignment and maintaining a high hiring bar.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience reflecting OpenAI’s values and mission.
• Navigate global hiring environments by partnering with People, Legal, and Compensation to ensure fairness and compliance.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes to increase quality and velocity.
• Bring market intelligence and insights to stakeholders, influencing hiring decisions and talent strategy.
• Experience with modern recruiting tools (e.g. Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter) and a mindset for leveraging new technologies.
