Job summary

Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is seeking a data analytics professional to join our team. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design compliance tools and developing analytics models to understand taxpayer segments and detect non-compliance.

You will leverage large language model-based tools to build AI products for operations and compliance, and develop dashboards to support reporting and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; CS/Data Analytics/Statistics preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a logical, organised approach.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Inquisitive mindset with ability to question, probe and analyse data effectively.
• Resourceful and able to work independently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop new compliance tools and initiatives.
• Prepare and analyse data, develop analytics models to understand taxpayer segments, predict behaviours, detect fraud and non-compliance, and develop intervention measures for GST compliance.
• Leverage Large Language Models-based tools to build AI products for use in the division's operations and compliance work through prototyping and iterative improvement.
• Develop interactive dashboards that support reporting and performance monitoring.
• Provide basic training on the application of analytical tools to end-user officers. Facilitate data sharing with internal and external stakeholders, adhering to the data governance framework.
• Review and operationalise data policies and procedures to comply with guidelines and frameworks.
