Job summary

IRAS is seeking a GST expert to join a team shaping tax compliance and modernization in Singapore. The role covers compliance, policy formulation, and taxpayer services, with a focus on improving systems and taxpayer experience.

You will help modernise tax administration, apply data analytics for high-risk audits, and contribute to initiatives that leverage RPA and analytics to enhance outcomes. This position includes a 2-year contract initially.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Business.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and GST.
• Strong analytical, logical, and systematic thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourcefulness and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Harness data analytics to identify high-risk taxpayers and conduct audits on their compliance with GST rules and regulations.
• Prepare audit findings and recommend actionable solutions.
• Provide expert rulings on tax laws and policy interpretations.
• Review tax rules, leveraging international best practices and industry insights.
• Drive process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance compliance and streamline operations.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects, applying relevant technologies like RPA, data analytics, and behavioural insights to elevate outcomes.
