Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Engineer (AME) to ensure reliability and optimal performance of specialized production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will plan preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, lead root-cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment uptime and productivity.

  • At least 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing or semiconductor settings.
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Work as AME to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance of production equipment.
  • Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Monitor and optimize machine performance and maintenance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering and QA to improve reliability.
  • Analyze maintenance data and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support equipment upgrades, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure safety, environmental and operational standards during maintenance.
  • Support spare parts management and vendor coordination.

YOUR ROLE
  • To work as AME (Assistant Maintenace Engineer) to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance of specialized production equipment.

  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures and recurring technical issues.

Your Skills & Experience
  • At least 5 years of working experience in equipment maintenance within manufacturing, semiconductor, automation, or industrial environments.
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, industrial sensors, motors, drives, and industrial control systems.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, 5 Why, or Fishbone analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to support 12HR shift work, standby duties, or overtime when required.
