Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Equipment owner to lead improvement projects, drive maintenance cost efficiency per wafer, and enhance equipment reliability, yield, and throughput in our Singapore fab.

You will manage new equipment startups, liaison with vendors, and provide technical support to engineers and technicians while establishing CM/PM guidelines and training teams for higher hardware performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering as listed; hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with wet equipment, pumps, flow systems, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to train technicians and collaborate with production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage new equipment startup and liaise with vendors for production acceptance.
• Plan and deliver technical support to assistants and technicians.
• Establish CM procedures and troubleshooting guides for efficient repairs.
• Set PM procedures to maximize maintenance efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Provide training to staff to enhance troubleshooting skills and equipment knowledge.
• Maintain critical spares and consumables to minimize downtime.
• Convert production/engineering needs into actionable maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to cost-reduction efforts and analyze downtime Pareto reports.

YOUR ROLE

You will take on the role of Equipment owner and implement equipment improvement projects to achieve the best possible maintenance cost per wafer, equipment reliability, wafer fab yield and throughput parameters. Your job scope include:

• Manage new equipment start up, liaise with vendors, to acceptance of equipment for production
• Plan, organize and implement technical support and expertise on specific tools to Assistant Maintenance Engineers and Technicians
• Establish CM procedures and troubleshooting guides to allow efficient troubleshooting
• Establish PM procedures to achieve best possible Preventive Maintenance efficiency without compromising quality
• Provide training to Assistant Maintenance Engineers, Technicians to enhance their troubleshooting skills and equipment knowledge
• Establish critical equipment spares, consumables stock levels to support equipment recovery time
• Translates the requirements of Production and Engineering needs into maintenance tasks and work closely with them to achieve the overall committed targets in all aspects of manufacturing parameters.
• Participate in cost reduction projects to maintain cost efficiency
• Generate regular Equipment downtime pareto reports and analyzing for any chronic/repeated issues.

Your Skills & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic/mechatronics/mechanical engineering
• Min 3 years’ experience in Wet Equipment Spin tool (Semitool SST/Siconnex) or WET Benches
• Good knowledge in reading and analyzing electrical schematic and block diagrams
• Good hands-on experience in mechanical systems such as pump and flow systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to teamwork within and with other departments
• Familiar with Microsoft office applications
• Good knowledge in statistical tools, problem solving tools, FMEA and 8D
• Knowledge in PLC programming will be an added advantage
