Job summary

Freight Links Express Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced airfreightsales professional to grow our local customer base and overseas agent business. You will work closely with our operations team to deliver reliable service and manage end-to-end shipments.

The role requires knowledge of airfreight operations, strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure new customers while maintaining margins. You will coordinate with agents and customers to ensure accurate booking and timely payment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of airfreight sales or business development experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of airfreight operations, bookings and AWB documentation.
• Understanding of airfreight pricing, chargeable weight and local charges.
• Ability to prepare quotations and negotiate rates independently.
• Able to communicate arrangements to customers and overseas agents.
• Experience developing local customers and overseas agent relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated and sales-target driven.
• Existing customer or overseas agent network is advantageous.
• Candidates with stronger experience may be considered for Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new airfreight customers through prospecting, visits and follow-ups.

• Prepare competitive quotations for air import, export, cross-trade and D2D services.
• Source and negotiate rates with airlines, co-loaders and overseas agents.

• Follow up on enquiries and quotations to convert opportunities into shipments.
• Confirm shipment requirements and routing with operations before committing to customers.
• Provide clear shipment instructions and handover to operations once booked.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service to monitor shipments and resolve issues.
• Maintain relationships with customers and overseas agents.
• Aim for sales and gross profit targets while maintaining healthy margins.
• Maintain updated sales pipeline and submit reports to support timely payments.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated airfreightsales professional to grow our local customer base and overseas agent business.The candidate should have strong knowledge of airfreight operations and be ableto work closely with our operations team to deliver reliable service.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new airfreight customers through prospecting, customer visits and sales follow-ups.
• Develop relationships with overseas freight forwarding agents to generate inbound and outbound Singapore shipments.
• Prepare competitive quotations for air import, export, cross-trade and door-to-door services.
• Source and negotiate rates with airlines, co-loaders and overseas agents.
• Work with existing sales teams to develop airfreight opportunities from the company’s customer base.
• Follow up on enquiries and quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed shipments.
• Confirm shipment requirements, routing, capacity, charges and special handling arrangements with operations before committing to customers.
• Provide clear and complete shipment instructions and ensure a proper handover to operations once bookings are confirmed.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to monitor shipments and resolve service issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and overseas agents.
• Achieve agreed sales and gross profit targets while maintaining healthy margins.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline, submit sales reports and support timely payment collection.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 years of airfreight sales or business development experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of airfreight import and export operations, including bookings, AWB documentation, customs clearance requirements, cargo handling and delivery coordination.
• Good understanding of airfreight pricing, chargeable weight, local charges and international shipping terms.
• Able to prepare quotations and negotiate rates independently.
• Able to assess shipment feasibility with operations and clearly communicate agreed arrangements to customers and overseas agents.
• Experience developing local customers and overseas agent relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, commercially minded and comfortable working towards sales targets.
• An established customer or overseas agent network would be an advantage.
• Candidates with stronger experience and a proven sales track record may be considered for the Manager position.
