Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced export customer service professional to oversee daily airfreight shipments from booking to final closure.

You will coordinate with airlines, customs, and internal teams, keeping customers updated, resolving issues quickly, and driving process improvements to enhance service quality. The role also involves mentoring junior staff, identifying operational risks, and reporting findings to management with clear follow-up actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily airfreight export shipments from booking to final shipment closure.
• Provide shipment updates to customers and coordinate solutions to issues.
• Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, transport providers, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate cargo acceptance and departure.
• Track shipment milestones and service performance to meet customer commitments and internal KPIs.
• Manage escalated or high-value shipments and resolve delays, documentation issues, and customs-related matters.
• Review workflows to reduce processing errors, minimise delays, and improve customer experience.
• Ensure shipment files, billing records, and compliance documentation are maintained accurately.
• Assist in guiding junior customer service personnel on export workflows and documentation requirements.
• Report significant operational risks and unresolved customer issues to management and follow-up actions.

Job description

• Oversee daily airfreight export shipments from booking and cargo preparation through documentation, export clearance coordination, billing, and final shipment closure.

• Maintain effective communication with customers by providing shipment updates, addressing enquiries, and coordinating solutions to operational challenges.
• Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, transport providers, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate timely cargo acceptance and shipment departure.
• Track shipment milestones and service performance to meet agreed customer commitments, operational KPIs, and internal service standards.
• Manage escalated, time-sensitive, or high-value shipments and coordinate the resolution of delays, documentation issues, and customs-related matters.
• Review existing workflows and recommend practical improvements to reduce processing errors, minimise delays, and improve customer experience.
• Ensure shipment files, billing records, operational reports, and relevant compliance documentation are accurately maintained.
• Assist in guiding junior customer service personnel on export workflows, documentation requirements, and effective customer communication.
• Report significant operational risks and unresolved customer issues to management, monitoring follow-up actions through to resolution.
