Job summary

January Capital in Singapore is seeking a technically grounded investor to join our software investing team. You will work closely with a Partner in an apprentice-style model, supporting sourcing, diligence, and post-investment value creation.

The role centers on pre-seed to pre-Series A software and AI investments, with 20–30% of time dedicated to building AI-native tooling and workflows for data-led investment decisions and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field from a top-tier university in US, SG, or equivalent.
• 2–8 years in technical founder roles, software roles, AI/ML research, or venture investing with a technical bias.
• Ability to work with cutting-edge AI tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead investments in early-stage software and AI/ML companies across SEA and APAC.
• Conduct technical and commercial diligence focusing on product architecture, team, usage metrics, GTM potential.
• Develop internal AI-forward tools and workflows to support decision-making and portfolio management.
• Engage with technical founders and researchers across regional markets.
