Job summary

Energy Market Company is seeking an accountant to support the Finance Manager. You will assist with revenue negotiations, invoicing, and ERP data accuracy, while helping with audits and monthly AR aging reviews.

The role involves processing customer billing, updating the Retail Platform in BC, and contributing to balance sheet schedules. Collaboration with auditors and cross-team support are essential aspects.

Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience (AR/AP preferred)
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience with Business Central accounting system and prior system implementation is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in compiling information to support revenue regime negotiations
Assist in compiling supporting invoices for exogenous claims
Support the implementation and user testing of the InvoiceNow project, including ensuring accuracy of UEN/GST numbers for customer/vendor masters and resolving gaps during gap analysis
Assist in preparing audit confirmations on customer balances
Assist in monthly review of AR aging
Assist in processing customer billing and receipts
Create pdf invoices (Adobe Writer edits may be required)
Assist in manual updates in Business Central for retail platform transactions and updating Retail Platform team when payment is received
Assist in manual updates in Business Central for sale of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and ensure matching of purchases of RECs
Assist in preparing balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
Assist manager in other administrative tasks as required
Provide supporting information for auditors
Cover accountant/accounts executive duties in their absence
