Job summary

WANT JOIN INNOVATIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking an energetic Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, including GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets. You will handle month-end closings, bank reconciliations, and GST computations, ensuring accurate records with proper documentation.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting, experience with Singapore GST, and Excel proficiency; MYOB is a plus. You will support monthly reports and year-end filing, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• Above 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on Singapore GST computation and filing experience.
• Experience with AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; MYOB experience preferred.

• Handle day-to-day accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, customer receipts, staff claims and other accounting transactions accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ensure all revenues, receivables, payables and other financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system with proper supporting documentation.
• Perform e-commerce platform reconciliations.
• Perform inventory and cost reconciliations, including inventory adjustments, costing and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Prepare GST computations and submit GST returns accurately and within filing deadlines, ensuring compliance with relevant IRAS regulations and GST requirements.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow and budget-versus-actual analysis.
• Prepare year-end accounting schedules and supporting information for the external accounting firm in relation to annual financial statements and corporate income tax filing.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation, and liaise with suppliers, customers, banks and external service providers on finance-related matters when required.
• Support improvements to accounting processes, internal controls and finance systems, including InvoiceNow/e-invoicing implementation.
• Perform any other ad-hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Above 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in Singapore GST computation and filing.
• Experience in AP, AR, General Ledger, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables and data analysis.
• Experience with accounting systems; MYOB experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Singapore GST requirements, with the ability to keep up to date with relevant IRAS regulations.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail or trading environments, including inventory or e-commerce platform reconciliation, will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Well-organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
