Job summary

Samsonite Brands Private Limited is seeking an Accounting assistant to manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable activities within SAP. The role involves month-end closing, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and preparing audit schedules under the Senior Finance Manager, APAC & ME.

The candidate should have a diploma or higher in accounting/finance, SAP knowledge, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; 1–3 years in an MNC environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred; hands-on SAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of A/P duties: accurate recording of vendor invoices and staff expense reimbursements.
• Manage A/R duties: issue debit/credit notes, record collections, and resolve intercompany receipts discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close including GL accruals and prepayments reversal, and prepare audit schedules.
• Support year-end closing and provide documents for auditors and tax consultants.
