Job summary

ssangyong engineering & construction co ltd is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee daily accounting and finance operations within a construction environment.

You will coordinate monthly financial statements, management reports, and analyses, ensuring compliance with Singapore standards and statutory requirements. The role involves leading the accounting team and coordinating with HQ in South Korea.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance is required and professional accounting knowledge is essential.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience with ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, Reporting) and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s daily accounting and finance operations.
• Submit management reports and financial statements to HQ on time.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and analysis.
• Manage general ledger, AP, AR, bank reconciliation and reporting.
• Collaborate with HQ, South Korea on accounting matters.
• Monitor project accounting, budgets, and financial performance.
• Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and planning.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore FR standards, GST, tax, and statutory rules.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions.
• Supervise the accounting team and maintain internal controls.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s daily accounting and finance operations.
• Responsible for the timely submission of required Management Reports and Financial Statements to HQ, South Korea
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• To co-work with HQ, South Korea on all accounting matters.
• Monitor project accounting, construction project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, corporate tax, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and other financial institutions.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting duties.
• Maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles ,financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Proficient in ERP systems, including accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with SAGE, SAP, or other ERP-based accounting software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, corporate tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in construction or project accounting is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
