Job summary

VERITE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Finance Accountant with 4 to 5 years of accounting experience to join the Finance team in a 6 month contract role in Singapore.

You will report to the Finance Controller and be responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and preparing financial statements and management reports. The role also involves support for group reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis, as well as GST,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant professional qualifications.
• Candidate should have 4 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Real Estate or Construction sectors is a plus, from accounting firms or outsourced services.

Responsibilities

• Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing incl. bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and supporting schedules for local and group reporting.
• Support Group reporting and consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage AP, AR and billing activities, including invoicing, payment runs and customer billing.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and financial analysis.

The Position

A role has opened up within the Finance team for a driven Finance Accountant to join the team. The role reports to the Finance Controller. You will be responsible for:

• Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, including bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and supporting schedules for local and Group reporting.
• Support Group reporting and consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations, consolidation adjustments and variance analysis.
• Manage AP, AR and billing activities, including invoice processing, payment runs and customer billing.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and financial analysis, including budget-versus-actual reviews.
• Support Singapore GST, corporate tax, statutory filings and audit requirements, including liaison with auditors and tax agents.
• Assist with finance systems and process improvements, including Yardi, system testing, data migration and strengthening internal controls.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with SFRS, Group accounting policies, internal controls and applicable regulations.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Projects and other business functions, and support ad-hoc financial analysis and finance-related projects.

The Person

• The ideal candidate will have at least 4 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• A recognized degree in Accounting or relevant professional accountancy qualifications
• Candidates from accounting firms or outsourced accounting services industry (with exposure to Real Estate or Construction) can be considered.
• Experience with Yardi is an advantage
