Job summary

SUPERIOR MULTI-PACKAGING LIMITED is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage AR activities, assist in month-end closes, and oversee fixed assets. The role involves treasury tasks, intercompany reconciliations, and collaboration across departments to resolve financial matters.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in accounting, solid Excel and ERP experience, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• Relevant working experience in accounting, AR management, month-end closing and/or financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, familiarity with BAAN is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Detail-oriented, well-organised and able to meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of Accounts Receivables, including invoicing, credit control, customer collections, AR reconciliation and aging reports.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, inventory reports and other accounting adjustments and perform intercompany balance reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset register and conduct physical sighting of fixed assets.
• Handle treasury-related activities, including cash flows planning, bank reconciliations, hedge reports, banking facilities and payment documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers and relevant parties to resolve accounting and financial matters.
• Provide backup support for Accounts payables.
• Assist in audit matters, process improvements and other ad-hoc finance assignments.
