Job summary

Avenue Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced accountant to support day-to-day finance operations in Singapore. The role involves invoicing, receipts, payments, journals, and data management in the system.

You will handle fixed asset management, depreciation, and reconciliations, and contribute to timely month-end closing in accordance with Singapore FRSs. Strong Excel skills and accounting software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Meticulous, analytical, and self-motivated team player.
• Excellent MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Tuas and use Company transport (pickup opposite Yew Tee MRT).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Involve in the day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, receipts, payments, journals and data management in the system
• Handle fixed asset management, including tracking, depreciation and reconciliation
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing according to company’s policies and Singapore FRSs
• Review and analyse financial and project performances, including variance analysis
• Prepare financial and management reports, GL reconciliations and accounts schedules
• Handle statutory audit and tax-related processes including GST filing, corporate income tax computation and transfer pricing documentation
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and corporate secretariat
• Assist in establishing and keeping an up-to-date accounting internal control policy and procedures
• Support ad-hoc projects and other finance-related tasks as required

Requirements

• Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
• More than 3 years relevant experience
• Meticulous, analytical, innovative and self-motivated team player
• Excellent MS Excel skill and proficient in accounting software
• Experience working in construction industry will be a bonus
• Willing to travel to Tuas. ( Company transport pick-up opposite Yew Tee MRT))
