Job summary

MEXC, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking an Accountant with 2–3 years of accounting experience to support daily financial operations. You will handle financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced crypto environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and ERP systems, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Crypto/fintech experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS or international accounting standards.
• Good Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in crypto/fintech/financial services or technology industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports and reconciliations.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Support audits by preparing documents and schedules.
• Monitor transactions and ensure they are recorded per accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to verify invoices, payments, expenses.
• Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with tax filings, statutory reporting, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documents and schedules.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure they are properly recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Work closely with internal teams to verify invoices, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with IFRS or other international accounting standards
• Good Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the crypto, fintech, financial services, or technology industry is preferred but not mandatory.
