Job summary

Global Switch seeks an experienced Facilities Shift Manager to safeguard the reliability, safety, and performance of critical data centre infrastructure in a 24/7 setting. You will support uptime, coordinate maintenance, and respond to incidents in line with governance standards.

You will lead shift teams, enforce procedures, and work with engineering, security and service staff to optimise operations and incident handling across our flagship facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in running shift-based operations in critical facilities.
• Strong focus on uptime, safety and compliance in a 24/7 environment.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance and incidents with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations for power, cooling, security and monitoring to maximise uptime.
• Schedule and supervise planned maintenance and ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and ensure safety protocols with permits where required.
• Enforce SOPs, MOPs and EOPs; train and prepare the team for routine and emergency scenarios.
• Conduct drills and audits to improve emergency readiness and response capabilities.
• Prepare maintenance reports and present findings to management.
