Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an Application Support Engineer to design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and related system components in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

You will provide 24/7 Level 1 & Level 2 support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with IT teams to improve performance and availability, while gathering requirements and delivering automation solutions for Equipment Manager systems.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Semiconductor, Manufacturing, or High-Tech production environments.
Experience in supporting factory automation or manufacturing systems.
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle preferred) with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and system components.
Provide 24/7 Level 1 & Level 2 support to ensure smooth operation of production lines.
Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve system performance and availability.
Gather user requirements and develop new automation solutions, particularly for Equipment Manager systems.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system enhancements and processes.
Plan and conduct user training for assigned applications.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including productivity enhancements and cost reduction projects.
