Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable engineer to design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications that support production line operations. The role involves providing 24x7 support and collaborating with IT and business teams to improve system performance.

You will gather requirements, deploy new versions of SFA components such as Equipment Manager automation, coordinate enhancements, and lead user training to ensure effective adoption across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/CE or Diploma with 3+ years in Equipment Manager Automation.
• Proficient in SQL within Oracle environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve SFA applications to optimize production efficiency.
• Provide 24x7 Level 1 and Level 2 support for production lines.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance system response time and availability.
• Gather and document requirements to deploy new versions of SFA components focusing on Equipment Manager automation.
• Coordinate and document enhancements within assigned areas for clarity and traceability.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct training sessions for users of assigned applications.
• Partner with other departments to identify productivity improvements, error reduction, and cost-saving projects.

Job Summary

Design, maintain and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications to support production line operations. Provide 24x7 support, collaborate with IT and business teams to improve system performance and lead training and productivity initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and continuously improve assigned Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and components to optimize production efficiency
• Provide 24x7 Level 1 and Level 2 support to ensure uninterrupted operation of production lines
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance system response time and maximize system availability
• Gather and document requirements to design, develop, and deploy new versions of SFA applications, focusing on Equipment Manager automation solutions
• Coordinate and document application enhancements within assigned areas to ensure clarity and traceability
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct training sessions for users of assigned applications to ensure effective adoption
• Partner with other departments to identify and implement productivity improvements, error reduction, and cost-saving projects

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, OR
• Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in Equipment Manager Automation solutions
• Proficient in SQL within Oracle environments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work independently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), TIB/RV, and shop floor automation
• Knowledge of SECS (SEMI Equipment Communication Standard) and Tibco (TIB/RV)
• Experience in ZNT PAC development
• Familiarity with fab automation project cycles and CIM products such as SPC, RMS, and MES
• Background in high-technology manufacturing environments
