Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with SAP MM and MRP; strong Excel and Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities including PO creation and management.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and avoid production delays.
• Utilize SAP MM to track orders, goods receipts, and supplier data.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Logistics for procurement support.
• Prepare purchasing reports and analyze data to identify efficiency gains.

Buyer / Purchasing Executive

About the Company

Our client is a Singapore-based global company specialising in semiconductor and electronics testing solutions. The company has a strong international presence across Asia, Europe and the Americas and supports customers in the advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing activities, including raising and managing Purchase Orders (POs).
• Monitor and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and prevent production delays.
• Use SAP MM to create POs, track orders, monitor goods receipts and maintain supplier information.
• Work with MRP and production planning systems to align purchasing activities with production requirements and inventory levels.
• Monitor material availability and proactively identify potential stock shortages or supply risks.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Logistics teams to understand material requirements and provide timely procurement support.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and follow up on delivery schedules, lead times and supply issues.
• Resolve purchasing and delivery discrepancies with suppliers and support improvements in supplier performance.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and transaction records.
• Prepare purchasing reports, analyse procurement data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce lead time and control costs.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP, particularly SAP MM and MRP.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong follow-up skills with the ability to push suppliers and expedite deliveries when required.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proactive, responsible and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
