Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Virtual Group Air Planner to manage group air travel for Scandinavian clients, including Sweden, Denmark and Norway. You will research airlines, negotiate contracts, and handle seats within airline deadlines, with experience in group blocks and GDS tools.

You will produce insights reports, manage costs and contribute to program development while collaborating with a global team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Travel for Meetings/Group Air Planner or Coordinator
• Experience producing event-level reports via Insights/Sage/Power BI
• Knowledge of GDS and group blocks
• Strong provider research and negotiation skills
• Experience using registration tools and handling delegate changes
• Familiarity with Concur OBT and Cvent integration
• Customer-focused with attention to detail and strong communication
• Knowledge of Swedish (desirable) and other languages a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage group air travel for events from small to large scales
• Research, negotiate, and manage airline contracts to meet client specs
• Produce event reporting and manage financials from deposits to final accounts
• Plan, coordinate, and execute group air movements
• Share standard processes with peers and improve workflows
• Aim for savings and financial performance across booking lifecycles
• Engage in self-development and training
• Work independently and in a team environment
