Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Sweden seeks a Unit FM Manager who owns the facility management scope from preventive maintenance to long‑term planning. You will safeguard safety, functionality and sustainability, acting as the ambassador for property operations across stores and offices.

Lead with a people‑centric approach, coordinate internal teams and external partners, manage budgets and CAPEX/OPEX, and drive continuous improvements while adhering to Ingka standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility management, property operations, or technical maintenance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to develop people and drive performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination with external suppliers/contractors.
• Good understanding of budget management and link to P&L results.
• Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

About the role

As Unit FM Manager, you take full ownership of the facility management scope – from preventive maintenance and compliance to project coordination and long‑term planning. You are the ambassador for everything related to property operations, ensuring safety, functionality, and sustainability.

Main responsibilities

• Lead and secure operational excellence: Maintain the property and assets with a long‑term perspective, ensuring reliability, functionality, and sustainability.
• Take ownership of the FM scope: Deliver quality, cost‑efficient, and compliant services aligned with Ingka standards and local regulations.
• Lead people and stakeholders: Support, coach, and engage others – from your direct team to suppliers and store functions – fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Drive project delivery: Coordinate and plan projects, renovations, and maintenance activities with internal and external partners.
• Financial accountability: Develop and manage the property budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control within CAPEX and OPEX.
• Ensure compliance and improvement: Keep digital tools, documentation, and audits up to date; analyze data to identify actions and continuous improvements.

About you

• Proven experience in facility management, property operations, or technical maintenance, ideally in a complex or retail environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills – direct and indirect – with the ability to develop people and drive performance.
• Strong background in stakeholder management and coordination of external suppliers and contractors.
• Good understanding of budget management and the link between operational performance and P&L results.
• Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
