Role: IT Workplace Specialist/Systems Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Workplace Specialist to join a large-scale IT operations environment supporting thousands of end users across a complex Microsoft infrastructure. This is a specialist position focused on ownership, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the workplace platform rather than traditional helpdesk support.
The successful candidate will act as a key technical contact for workplace services, ensuring a secure, stable, and efficient end-user environment while working closely with wider infrastructure, security, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the modern workplace environment, including Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Autopilot, application deployment, compliance policies, and configuration profiles.
- Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, permissions, and directory governance.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Deliver security updates, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and platform lifecycle management.
- Manage endpoint devices, mobile devices, printers, and workplace hardware.
- Participate in change management and service improvement initiatives within an ITIL-aligned environment.
- Assist with security investigations and incident response activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best-practice guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, automation, and user experience.
Required Experience
- Several years of experience managing endpoint and workplace environments within medium to large Microsoft-based organisations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including policy creation, application deployment, compliance management, and device configuration.
- Solid expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Experience working within structured service management frameworks and ticketing systems.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Fluent Swedish language skills, both written and spoken.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to successfully complete background screening and security checks.
- Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, AZ-104, or SC-300.
- Experience managing macOS, iOS, and Android devices in enterprise environments.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and security hardening frameworks.
- Experience with print management platforms and virtual desktop technologies.
- Previous experience within public sector or highly regulated environments.
- Experience delivering services against SLAs and operational performance targets.
