Systems and Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a senior IT professional who combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands‑on mindset, focused on scalable, secure and resilient IT infrastructure for a modern professional service delivery organization with a global footprint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject‑matter expert and 3rd line escalation point for the Infrastructure & Core Services team.
• Drive strategic infrastructure initiatives that improve resilience, reduce complexity and position the business for growth.
• Collaborate with IT support teams, application owners, security, business stakeholders, external vendors, managed service providers, datacenter and cloud partners, and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in IT or equivalent.
• At least 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or platform‑focused IT roles.
• Hands‑on expertise in enterprise infrastructure: servers, storage, virtualization, networking and cloud services.
• Strong experience with virtualization (VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, HyperV).
• Proficient in networking (firewalls, switching, routing, micro‑segmentation, Wi‑Fi and related hardware).
• System administration in Windows Server and Linux (installation, patching, web servers, hardening, logging).
• Identity management (AD, EntraID, IAM, RBAC, SSO, user provisioning, PIM, PAM, access tiering).
• Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Automation mindset with scripting, standardisation or infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Monitoring of infrastructure and systems.
• Structured and security‑focused approach with sound judgement in change management and access control.
• Clear documentation, effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Swedish.
• Experience in the professional service industry or consulting.
• Coding skills.
• International IT environment experience.
• Azure and/or AWS in hybrid environments.

Practical Information

This is a permanent position with a six‑month probationary period. The candidate can be stationed in the offices in Stockholm (Solna), Göteborg (Lindholmen) or Sundsvall, with flexible working conditions and a hybrid model. Start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.
