Suzuki Garphyttan is looking for an Automation Engineer

In this position, you will collaborate daily with colleagues from various departments, including Maintenance, R&D, Operations Technology, and IT, to address a wide range of issues, design inquiries, and requests. The role is broad, allowing for close cooperation across the organization.

You will support Suzuki Garphyttan’s other sites located in the United States, China, Mexico, and England, and you will have global contacts. This requires you to speak and write English and an enthusiasm for travel.

Example of Tasks

• Establish and maintain global standards in the area
• Ensure machine safety
• Perform PLC programming
• Corrective and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting
• Project management
• Create electrical schematics in Elcad

About You

We are looking for someone with a college/university degree in automation or electrical engineering and at least five years of experience in a process industry. You should have good knowledge of PLC/HMI software for the various products as well as basic IT knowledge.
