Job summary

At six brasserie is seeking an ambitious Sushi chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist the Head and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality dishes and maintaining our standards.

Daily prep, coordination with the Sous Chef, supervising junior chefs, and ensuring proper handling, storage and sanitation will be part of your duties. Michelin experience is preferable but not essential; strong teamwork and guest-focused service are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the same role
• Michelin star experience is preferable, but not essential
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Taking care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by the superiors to meet the standard and the quality set by the Restaurant
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef
• Responsible to supervise junior chefs and interns
• Ensure production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality
• Ensure guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis
• Knowledge of standard procedures and policies for food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation
• Maintain proper preservation standards for all food products
• Establish effective inter-departmental working relationships
• Hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils
• Consult daily with Sous Chef and Head chef on requirements and events
• Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues
• Assess quality control and adhere to service standards
