Job summary

Kong is hiring a Solution Engineer for the Nordic region to drive technical sales and align with the Account Executive team. You will lead technical discussions, run product reviews and demos, and guide customers through PoCs.

You will onboard customers, train teams, and collaborate with engineering to prioritize needs, ensuring 100% satisfaction across accounts. This role suits someone with strong SaaS pre-sales background and a passion for open-source technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of pre-sales Solution Engineering or similar at SaaS/enterprise software.
• Experience with Open-source technology.
• Foundational knowledge of API Management, cloud trends, OSS business models.
• Ability to present and lead discussions with executives, PMs, and engineers.
• Interest in startup culture and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support field sales in demonstrating Kong API Management and Connectivity value.
• Grow trusted client relationships across the full sales lifecycle.
• Support PoCs throughout the evaluation process.
• Onboard and train new customers and drive revenue with existing ones.
• Coordinate with support, product, and engineering to prioritize needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Create technical docs for DevOps, implementations, and services.
• Participate in lead generation through blogs, webinars, events.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by management.
