Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is seeking a Senior Risk Engineer focused on technical property for the Nordics, based in Sweden. The role supports the Technical Property & Construction, Nordics underwriting team with desktop reviews, onsite evaluations, and meetings for a diversified engineered risk portfolio.

You will work with underwriters to grow and maintain a healthy book of business, reporting to the Risk Engineering Manager, Nordics.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical field.
• 5+ years field and account engineering experience.
• Fluent in Swedish and English; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct account reviews and periodic onsite evaluations for underwriting purposes.
• Act as a technical resource for the underwriting team.
• Collaborate with the Global Engineering team on standards, guidelines, and technology.
• Participate in broker and client meetings to strengthen relationships.
