Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is expanding with a Stockholm office and seeks an Underwriting Technician to support Property, General Property and Technical Property & Construction portfolios while collaborating with Casualty and Financial Lines teams.

This hands-on role focuses on delivering efficient, accurate underwriting support, data entry and process improvements within a growing underwriting team in Stockholm.

Qualifications

• Heavy emphasis on accurate data handling and analysis.
• Underwriting processes knowledge and policy lifecycle understanding.
• Strong Excel/MS Office skills and data tooling proficiency.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured way.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the full underwriting process, including account booking, documentation, and workflow coordination.
• Provide data inputs to support reporting, analytics, and risk assessment; work with Operations to improve processes.
• Support additional operational tasks, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
