Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Technician to join our recently opened office in Stockholm.
This role is primarily focused on Property, supporting our General Property as well as Technical Property & Construction portfolios. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience by providing support for our Casualty and Financial Lines teams, making this a varied and dynamic position.
You will play an important role in supporting the build-out of our local operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the early development of our regional presence, helping to shape processes and ways of working alongside a growing underwriting team.
Working closely with Underwriters and in partnership with the Operations Manager, you will act as a key link between underwriting and operations. This is a hands-on Underwriting Technician role focused on delivering efficient, consistent, and high-quality support to the business.
Reporting into Head of Construction & Technical Property, this role will also work closely with Head of General Property and the Operations Manager.
This role suits a detail-oriented and proactive professional who takes pride in accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement. In a highly collaborative team, as part of a growing business, necessary character, engagement in initiatives across functions and geographies form an important part of the role.
