Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Risk Engineer focused on technical property. You will support the Nordics underwriting team with desktop reviews, onsite evaluations, and client meetings.

The role requires 5+ years of field and account engineering experience, a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, and strong knowledge of energy sector standards. Travel to client sites is expected and fluency in Swedish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of field and account engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Energy sector, including boilers and turbines, and NFPA codes/EN standards.
• Strong communication skills for underwriting/client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct account reviews and onsite evaluations for underwriting purposes.
• Act as a technical resource for the underwriting team.
• Collaborate with Global Engineering on standards and technology.
• Participate in broker and client meetings to strengthen relationships and value delivery.
