Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall Nordics AB in Stockholm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of complex building and civil engineering projects. The role requires a strong technical foundation and proven leadership on live or logistically challenging environments.

You will lead site teams and subcontractors, coordinate design information, manage safety and quality, and work with commercial teams on progress, cost control and changes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in construction or civil engineering project delivery.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality-management requirements.
• Experience reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements and contributing to construction-management documentation.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities in accordance with the agreed programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Develop, review and actively manage construction programmes, identifying opportunities to improve sequencing, productivity and overall delivery.
• Plan site activities in detail, establish clear milestones and accurately forecast completion dates.
• Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery measures where activities are at risk of delay.
• Provide daily leadership and direction to site teams, engineering resources, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, access and site logistics to support efficient delivery.
• Review short-term programmes, method statements, risk assessments and resource requirements.
• Champion a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the project.
• Ensure construction activities comply with company procedures, project requirements and applicable legislation.
