Job summary

Vaultica is seeking an experienced Construction Project Leader to oversee and coordinate large-scale projects on site in Stockholm region. You will ensure time, safety, quality and cost optimization, while guiding design and pre-construction phases and coordinating with consultants.

You will manage schedules, risk mitigation and stakeholder reporting, lead meetings, and collaborate with suppliers and GC partners.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in project and construction management in critical infrastructure environments such as Datacenter, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, Petrochemical or similar.
  • 6+ years of datacenter experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate construction progress schedules and monitor progress to assure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with design teams and participate in design and pre-construction phases; ensure timely issuance of deliverables.
  • Follow-up on construction works and design/construction and commissioning meetings.
  • Collaborate with Safety stakeholders on technical, operative, and organizational activities per local law and best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, including progress updates and risk management.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, company and client expectations and safety regulations.
  • Understand the entire supply chain for your project and act as a liaison between project teams and suppliers.
  • Identify and manage project risks and develop clear mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with peers across EMEA to improve delivery methodology.
  • Schedule, prepare agendas and lead regular project meetings.

Job description

General Purpose of the Position:
  • You will support the Construction department in overseeing and coordinating projects with a high focus on time, safety, quality and cost optimization
  • This role will assist with improving the conception, definition and execution of our construction projects and be based on site full-time while maintaining best practices and clear roles & responsibilities for any consultant support
  • You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely construction progress schedules and monitor job progress to assure timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with design teams and actively participate in the design and pre-construction phases. Ensure timely issuance of design and commercial deliverables
  • Follow-up on construction works and design/construction and commissioning meetings
  • Collaborate with Safety stakeholders on the technical, operative, and organizational activities according to local law and best practices
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, including progress updates and risk management
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, company and client expectations and safety regulations
  • Understand the entire supply chain for your project, including vendors, GCs, and subcontractors. Foster strong relationships and act as a liaison between project teams and the supply chain
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing clear strategies for risk mitigation. Proactively address challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with your peers across EMEA to continually assess, align on and improve the delivery methodology
  • Schedule, prepare agendas and lead regular project meetings and other meetings as required.
Required Job Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills, high emotional intelligence, and a proven track record in leading, managing and developing teams
  • Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Microsoft Office (focused on Excel and Power Point), CAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Project Management professional tools,
  • Problem-solving attitude with a crucial ability to meet deadlines, strong planning, and organizational skills
Education and Experience:
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of proven experience in project and construction management that will include critical Infrastructure for Datacenter, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, Petrochemical or similar environments.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in datacenter is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices
  • International academic or work experience is a plus
