Job summary

I-Ray IT Solutions AB is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a major digital transformation and cloud migration project in Sundsvall, Sweden. The role coordinates business readiness, aligns stakeholders, and drives the migration of mailboxes to Exchange Online while ensuring governance via Microsoft Purview.

The candidate will manage cross-functional teams, maintain plans and backlogs, and deliver changes on time with strong communication and change management skills.

Qualifications

• Very good Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/digitalization project management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in change management and user training related to IT implementations.
• Experience working on similar assignments within the public sector.
• Experience working at the interface between business operations and technical IT organizations.
• Experience developing training and communication materials for non-technical users.
• Project management certification such as PPS, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establish and continuously maintain the project plan, timeline, milestones and delivery structure.
• Coordinate migration priorities based on organizational readiness, size and business criticality.
• Manage and maintain the project backlog and coordinate upcoming deliveries with relevant teams.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, particularly those involving integrations, sensitive operations and limited service windows.
• Provide regular status reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a communication plan, FAQ documentation and supporting materials.
• Plan and coordinate training and educational activities for different target groups.
• Support the establishment of information classification labels and ensure that the classification model is effectively communicated and adopted.
• Coordinate business readiness activities ahead of migration.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders throughout the migration.
• Ensure that the migration is executed according to an agreed and well-communicated plan.

About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale digital transformation and cloud migration initiative within a complex organization.

The assignment involves coordinating the transition of user mailboxes from an on-premises Microsoft Exchange environment to Exchange Online. A pilot implementation has already been completed successfully, and the technical migration process is validated and ready for broader implementation.

A key part of the assignment is ensuring that Microsoft Purview is appropriately configured to support information security, classification and governance. The project manager will work with internal stakeholders to establish and implement information classification labels and ensure that the classification model is understood and adopted across the organization.

The technical migration will be delivered by specialized infrastructure and identity teams. The Project Manager will act as the central coordination function, ensuring that business areas, users and technical teams are aligned and prepared for the migration.

The role requires excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, a structured approach and the ability to drive change across a complex organization with multiple stakeholders and varying levels of technical maturity.

• PPS certification and practical experience working according to the PPS project model.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and/or information classification.
• Experience with email migration from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online in larger organizations.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory environments is advantageous.
• Experience coordinating technical migration teams and business stakeholders.
