Job summary

Allgon in Gothenburg seeks an experienced Product Manager to translate customer, market and technical needs into a clear strategy and roadmap. You will work with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Support and subsidiaries to manage assigned products throughout their lifecycle, driving growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, technology or related field.
• At least five years in Product Management or as a Product Owner.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic or embedded products and lifecycle management.
• Experience across R&D, Sales and international subsidiaries in a structured product development process (stage-gate).
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Define and own product strategy, roadmaps and requirements and drive releases from concept to launch.
• Gather and prioritise customer and market needs and represent the customer throughout development projects.
• Act as the product and application expert for assigned products and solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D in the development of products and solutions.
• Plan and coordinate cross-functional activities, field trials and market introductions.
• Manage the product lifecycle, including pricing, product classification and phase-out to support business objectives.

About the Role

As Product Manager at Allgon, you will turn customer, market and technical needs into a clear product strategy and roadmap. Working closely with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Support and our subsidiaries, you will manage assigned products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring the product portfolio supports Allgon’s overall strategy. Depending on your background, your strengths and focus may lie in strategic product direction, technical product ownership, or a combination of both, all with the aim of creating customer value, growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

The role is based at our headquarters in Gothenburg and reports to the Director Product Management.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who combines strong technical understanding with commercial awareness and a genuine focus on customer value. You are comfortable setting direction, making well-founded decisions and turning complex needs into clear priorities. To succeed in this role, you build alignment and momentum across functions, communicate clearly with varied stakeholders and take ownership from strategy through market introduction and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in engineering, technology or a related field).
• At least five years of experience in Product Management or as a Product Owner.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronic or embedded products and a solid understanding of product lifecycle management.
• Experience of working across R&D, Sales and international subsidiaries in a structured product development process (e.g. stage-gate)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• A valid driving licence

Meritorious

• Experience from industrial electronics, wireless or safety-related products.
• Knowledge of product regulation and certification (e.g. CE marking, the Machinery Regulation, radio equipment requirements).
• Experience of selling through subsidiaries or distributors in international markets.
